Leat Cottage is our purpose built, self catering holiday cottage. It
is central for visiting Bath, Longleat& Cheddar to name just a few things from a very wide choice of the
many tourist attractions nearby. It is within the grounds of our small farm where we keep 20 breeding Ewes and some pet goats.
Its setting is on the edge of the village of Coleford, leading out
into open farmland. The village has a pub and shop in walking distance. Within a couple of miles there are
many excellent places to eat out. It is also only three miles away from Babington House, the farm used to belong
to the Babington estate until the 1920s. There is an extensive network of footpaths ,The Colliers way cycle
path, and some good coarse fishing lakes where you can buy a day pass, giving you the choice to enjoy the countryside
or take advantage of the many wonderful days out. Somerset has so much to offer a week probably won't feel long enough!
The holiday cottage has an open plan living space with a panoramic
window and french doors leading to a terrace to maximise your views of the fields and the wildlife on the adjoining river
leat (we are often visited by a Heron and a Kingfisher).
For your added comfort we have underfloor heating throughout the groundfloor of the cottage.
It has three double bedrooms, two have King size beds (one of these is a ground floor
room) and the other has two single beds, this allows the cottage to comfortably accommodate six people.
The parking area can accomodate up to six cars, access from the parking area
to the cottage is all on level ground.
There is a downstairs power shower with w/c and a bathroom upstairs.
The kitchen living area is well equipped with:
Crockery, cutlery, tea towels

Fridge
Microwave
Oven & hob
SKY TV (basic package) with flatscreen LCD TV
DVD player
Children are welcome at the cottage, Parents of very young children may need to take note
of the close proximity to the river leat, however we have put lockable railings around the terrace for your added peace of
mind.
